Les Carnets d'Anatole

Bonjour ! Je m’appelle Anatole, je suis relieur, illustrateur, auteur et créateur des Carnets d’Anatole, enchanté 👋

Les Carnets d'Anatole (Anatole's notebooks) is a workshop where all my creative work meet and merge : the notebooks in which I write my stories, the notebooks in which my illustrations come alive, and finaly the notebooks I make by hand, using traditional french bookbinding techniques.

I always loved making things and telling stories, but my real work started in 2010, when I started learning bookbinding at the Corvisart-Tolbiac school, where I graduated in 2012 with a CAP d'Art de la Relire et de la Dorure ("Professionnal Aptitude Certificate for the Art of Bookbinding and Gilding"). I then pursued academics, with a diploma in History and another in digital mediation (and one year in agronomy as well), before I decided to come back to my artisan and artist work.

Mes thèmes de prédilection sont la forêt, les petits bêtes, la fantasy, les monstres un peu mignons et un peu étranges, le thé, les gâteaux et, bien sûr, les grenouilles 🐸 Vous retrouverez tout ces éléments dans mes illustrations, dans mes romans, et aussi dans les carnets reliés à la main !
